Three bets to kick things off today. Rasheeq is a horse I've been watching for a while and he's on a very good mark, particularly with a good-value 3lb claimer on board. Racing downhill at Goodwood mightn't have suited last time out and better is expected now. Right Touch is a huge price to win the Great St. Wilfred and he, too, has become attractively handicapped. His 6f form is generally rock-solid and Franny Norton is prone to some value winners! Mullionheir gets the nod at Newbury and won this race off a 12lb higher mark in 2015. He hasn't reached that level since but there have been a few hints of a return to form this year and any price about 20/1 looks massive. The trainer's horses are often underrated in the market to boot and I wouldn't be surprised to see the current quotes disappear.
2:40 - Rasheeq - 1pt @ 16/1 (General) - 13th @ 12/1; those drawn low had no chance in this.
3:15 - Right Touch - 1pt @ 20/1 (General) - 7th @ 20/1; ran a sound race, just not up to it.
3:00 - Mullionheir - 1pt @ 25/1 (General) - 9th @ 8/1; backed but didn't live up to the money.
