Just the one bet for today. We backed Blair House in the Royal Hunt Cup and he ran a storming race, finishing second behind the front-running Zhui Feng and I fully expect that form to be turned around this time. Rapid ground probably wasn't ideal for Charlie Appleby's 4-year-old and whilst it's hard to say whether the soft conditions he'll encounter today are going to be his optimum, he's a Pivotal who stays further than the mile trip and has previous with some cut. His dam ran her best race on heavy ground in France, too, and it's possible that he'll handle the going better than most. It's an unoriginal play but he has a massive chance.
3:00 - Blair House - 1.50pts @ 11/2 (General) - 11th @ 5/1; poor trip, failed to run up to his true form.
